Science Experiment

As part of our home enrichment...we finally got around to doing the Crystal Growing Experiment on Saturday that Shayna got for her 7th birthday. The kit came with all the supplies and included a study guide with lots of great information like the chemical equation for crystals. Here is Shayna doing the first part- melting the "sucrose." Then she put the sucrose/water mixture into the "vessel." After putting the "seeded stick" into the vessel/jar we wait about 7 days and get to watch the crystals grow. The best part is at the end Shayna gets to eat the experiment!
