Lake Boca Fishing
We took the boat out onto Lake Boca to go fishing this evening. Lake Boca is close to the marina (just a bit north) and is in part of the intracoastal which runs through Boca Raton, the south part, and in the downtown section. It also has part of the landmark Boca Raton Resort and Club, which features the architecture of Addison Mizner (this is a big part of Boca history and culture, as Mizner designed most of old Boca, and his architecture features lots of pinkish, coral, pastel colored stone/stucco type structures). The lake takes on a pretty ethereal feel during sunset, as the pink sky accentuates the pink buildings. makes a nice peaceful setting for fishing and reading a good book (lately its been "It Happened In Florida" a collection of historical stories starting with discovery by Ponce De Leon).
