Storytime

I have been taking Skyler to storytime every Monday at our local library here in Boca. Its really good, and has a theme each week and follows the same schedule.

They always start with the "hello" song. Then sit and listen to 2-3 books. This week the theme was sisters (preceded by mothers, dads, and brothers the first 3 weeks):

Then they may do an activity or follow along like dance, such as "shake your beanbag." The she always does a "find the mouse" game where they have to raise thier hand and guess which colored house the mouse is behind. notice skyler staying safely behind the mob:

They will do a few hand motion songs like wheels on the bus and itsy bitsy spider, and then sit for a few more stories. Here is the stick dance:

At the end is a short movie (again in the theme) and then a craft. Today Skyler made a likeness of his sister, Shayna:
