Vacation:Fort Lauderdale-the Hotel
In Fort Lauderdale we stayed at the Pelican Beach Hotel on the 9th floor in an oceanfront 2 room suite.
The kids really enjoyed the view from the balcony:
This is the living room looking out to the balcony. To the right there was a big armoire with TV, fridge, lots of shelves, etc.:
The living room looking towards the bedroom. The bedroom had 2 high king size beds and another amoire/storage. These were the most comfortable hotel beds, or beds in general, I have ever slept in, including the pillows, sheets, etc.
Outside part of the hotel restaurant on the "porch" overlooking the beach. we had breakfast here tuesday (inside) and wednesday, dinner monday night (inside).
The wonderful porch across from the restaurant and steps leading onto the beach below. If you keep walking down the porch you will get to the pool area.
My friend Jami and her husband Chris came to meet us and they stayed on the 9th floor also in the same hotel. I have been friends with Jami since 1975! We have the same taste in most things, so even when we were looking in the stores I would point out the same items she had pointed out to her husband, or be attracted to the same article of clothing in the kids clothing boutique.
We had dinner in the hotel restaurant Monday night with Jami, Chris and thier friends Penny and Ellis. The food and conversation were great. Best fish (chilean sea bass) I have ever had in a restaurant (close 2nd to the fish at Budakkan). Everyone had fun trying to get Skyler to talk.
