Count Down to Vacation
Its 10 days until we leave for our 4 part vacation on November 20th. here is where we will be:
Part 1: Fort Lauderdale, FL
Part 2: Key Largo/ Florida Keys
Part 3: Beaches resort, Turks & Caicos, the Caribbean
Part 4: South Beach, Miami
The last one is just for the last night...but I figured may as well go out with a POW before heading home! Found a great hotel, an amazing price, in full south beach style close to both ocean drive (near mango's), Flamingo park and Espanola Way. we will only be there at night (plane lands around 4ish) which is when south beach is best anyway.
Shayna got her snorkel gear, still need to get mine. also, has anyone found any contact lens solution 3 oz. or smaller? I would hate flying without it and they now require everything to be 3 oz. or smaller.
Our last flight: 2002
Our last time out of the country: 1997 (shayna was only 5mo!)
Last time in florida: 2000 (Shayna was age 3)
This is really our first true vacation since 1997, since all the other trips were for weddings or to visit family. Maybe the 1998 trip would count, the one to california, so that would still make it 8 years since we had a vacation (NJ shore does not count).
I will try and blog while on the trip, and probably have a seperate blog- linked here, maybe 2 blogs. One just for the wildlife...we are planning on photographing as much wildlife as possible that we spot, then later when we get home can research it (unless obvious what it is). Maybe we can get some help, if anyone wants to research it and post what they think the wildlife is? I am sure we will see all kinds of birds, animals, underwater sea life, etc. Anyone interested?

I suggest you ask your question about contact lens solution on Yahoo!Answers. I think there may be more people that go to that site than your blog.

Can't you purchase an empty 3 ounce plastic container and then transfer contact lens cleaning solution into it. Could you put larger containers of liquids in with your checked luggage?

I actually found out tonight on the tsa.gov web site. You can bring certain liquids that are OTC and medical items, and they specifically say that you can bring saline solution, you just have ti show them at the security checkpoint. so that makes it much easier. most likely I won't need it but like to have it just in case (I do use it on longer flights like to europe but ours is only 3 hrs.).
I also found out that all the 3oz. liquids have to be inside a quart size zip lock baggie, and only one baggie can be brought per bag/person.
